2 booked for abducting minor girl in Tarn Taran

TARN TARAN: The Goindwal Sahib police have booked two persons, including a woman, of Johal Dhai Wala village, 35 km from here, on the charge of abducting a teenage girl of the same village.

The Goindwal Sahib police have booked two persons, including a woman, of Johal Dhai Wala village, 35 km from here, on the charge of abducting a teenage girl of the same village.

The incident took place two weeks ago while the case was registered on Monday.

Assistant Sub-Inspector Lakhwinder Singh, who is investigating the case, said the accused had been identified as Baljinder Kaur and Vicky, who were also found missing along with the girl.

The father of the victim in his complaint to the police said that being their close relative, the woman accused was frequent visitor to their house while Vicky used to come with her.

On the pretext of marrying, the accused abducted her on the intervening night of November 7 and 8, when other members of her family were sleeping.

The incident came to the notice of the family in the morning.

Acase under Section 366-A and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused in this regard.

Case registered on Monday

  • The accused have been identified as Baljinder Kaur and Vicky, both residents of Johal Dhai Wala village, 35 km from Tarn Taran
  • The incident came to the notice of the family in the morning.
