Man kills wife after fight
Jalandhar, April 30
In a case of domestic violence, a woman was allegedly murdered by her husband with a sharp-edged weapon at Khurlapur village near here last night.The victim was identified as Rajwinder Kaur (32), who was married to Balraj Singh (40) of Khurlapur village, under the Mehatpur police station, around five years ago. The couple has a two-year-old son. According to sources, the couple had a quarrelsome married life for the past couple of years. The man allegedly used to beat his wife on many occasions.
The police said they had a fight last night on some issues. Following this, Balraj Singh attacked his wife with an axe, causing her grave injuries. This resulted in her death in a couple of minutes.
The police have booked Balraj Singh. However, no arrest had been made so far. — TNS
