Panchkula, November 23

Hosts St. Soldier’s School, Sector 16, here, beat Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, Chandigarh, 48-23 to win the third Mohinder Memorial Basketball Tournament 2017 for Girls. 

Kashish, with 14 points, was the highest scorer for St. Soldier’s girls. For Strawberry Fields, Zaara scored 11 points. The star player of the match was Ishita Kar  of St Soldier’s School.

As many as eight teams from the tricity participated in the competition. 

St. Anne’s Convent School, Sector 32, Chandigarh, finished third. 

The side beat Saupin’s School, Sector 32, 20-14. Ipsita of St.  Annes school was awarded the star player of the match trophy.

Sanvi of St. Anne’s Convent, Zaara from Strawberry Field and Simranjit Kaur from St. Soldier’s School received the most promising players award. The star player of the tournament award went to Priya Saini.
