Jalandhar, February 1

The police arrested two persons, including a woman, with 192 intoxicating tablets from Nakodar here on January 29.

The suspects were arrested while they were going to Rasoolpur from Uggi village. They have been identified as Baljinder Singh, alias Motu, a resident of Talwandi Salem village in Nakodar, and Baljinder Kaur, a resident of Latianwal village in Sultanpur Lodhi.

While 102 intoxicating tablets were recovered from Baljinder, alias Motu, 90 tablets were recovered from Baljinder Kaur.

A case under Sections 22-B, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act was registered against the suspects at the Sadar Nakodar police station here.
