Panjab University’s Jaspreet Singh clocked 6:45.432s to win the men’s single sculls gold in the All-India Inter-University Rowing Championship at Sukhna Lake here on Thursday. 

Maheshwar Singh (6:57.655s) of Chandigarh University bagged the silver, while Kurukshetra University’s Parminder Singh returned with the bronze medal.  

Jaspreet also combined with Jaspal Singh to win the light weight men’s double sculls title. The duo recorded a timing of 6:29.244s to claim the top spot. 

Guru Nanak Dev University’s Balram Sohi and Prateek Jamala (6:38.518) won the silver, while Akshey and Hari Ram (7:10.909s) of Kurukshetra University had to be content with the bronze medal.

In the men’s double sculls, Chandigarh University’s Manjinder Singh and Maheshwar Singh topped the podium with a timing of 6:11.772s. Jagvir Singh 

and Kavrinder Singh (6:19.386s) of Punjabi University, Patiala, followed in second place, while Kurukshetra University’s Parminder Singh and Anudeep Singh (6:37.386s) bagged the third position.      

Shreya Ramalingam Iyar and Khushpreet Kaur of PU, meanwhile, clocked 7:25.268s to win the women’s double sculls gold.

Vanshika Tantya and Mahima Dey (7:38.361s) from the University of Calcutta took home the silver medal, while Chandigarh University’s Kulwinder Kaur and Amandeep Kaur (7:46.065s) clinched the bronze medal.   

In the women’s single sculls, Punjabi University’s Harmanpreet Kaur (8:12.856s) claimed the gold medal. PU’s Khushi (8:18.784s) grabbed the silver and Amandeep Kaur (9:01.582s) of Chandigarh University had to be content with the bronze medal.  

Ramanpreet Kaur and Harmanpreet Kaur combined to win the light weight women’s double sculls title. The duo from Punjabi University clocked 7:36.880s to finish on top of the podium.

Guru Nanak Dev University’s Manpreet Kaur and Kirandeep Kaur (7:49.771s) followed in second place, while PU’s Jaswinder Kaur and Amrit (8:04.078) occupied the third place.    

In the women's pair, Shwetha Brahnchari and Shramani Sahe of Jadavpur University registered a timing of 8:01.745s to win the gold medal. PU's Monika and Ceiya (8:22.837s) pocketed the silver, while Gurjeet Kaur and Jashanpreet Kaur (8:37.147s) of Guru Nanak Dev University claimed the bronze medal.

Jadavpur University's Shreya, Semanti Chowdari, Shewta and Shemane topped the podium in the women's four with a timing of 6:52.465s. 

PU's Eastpreet, Pooja, Alisha and Monika (6:57.077s) returned with the silver medal, while Osmania University's D Prasana, C Rishitha, D Sita Mahalaxmi and Archana Yadav (7:27.725s) got the bronze medal.
