Kisan Sabha to oppose BJP

The Himachal Kisan Sabha will work to defeat the BJP in the upcoming byelections in the state.

Kisan Sabha president Kuldeep Tanwar said today that people and farmers were under a lot of stress because of the government policies.

“On the one hand, inflation is at an all-time high and on the other, farmers are not getting even reasonable prices for their produce,” alleged Tanwar.

He said, “In all election-bound constituencies, farmers have had a tough time in getting remunerative prices for their produce. Apple growers in the Jubbal-Kotkhai constituency have struggled to get good prices, in the Arki constituency tomato growers faced a hard time while in Fatehpur, the issue of opening of procurement centres has not been resolved. Farmers in Mandi, too, are facing several problems”.

Tanwar said, “Considering all this, we will oppose the BJP and work to ensure its defeat”.
