Guest faculty assistant professors gave a demand letter to CM Charanjit Singh Channi here on Thursday. Falwinder Verma of the Guest Faculty Assistant Professors Association, Ludhiana, said they were demanding from the government to secure their jobs by following the required process.
He said they submitted a memorandum, demanding job security, to the Chief Minister today.
The association members said a panel meeting would be held with the Chief Minister on December 18 and if their demand was not met, they would intensify their protest.
They said their delegation had also submitted a memorandum of SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal in Gurdaspur.
“We, in collaboration with farmers’ organisations, students and other organisations, will fight together in a a big way against policies of the state government soon if it did not meet their demands,” the assistant professors said.
