‘Sri Sukhmani Sahib paath’ held in Eastwood International Schoo


Ludhiana: Eastwood International School, Mullanpur, held the ‘Sukhmani Sahib’ paath to pay obeisance to the Guru Granth Gahib. The paath was followed by langar. ‘Kadha prasad’ was also distributed among students. Principal Amandeep Kaur Bakshi advised students to follow the principles of the Gurbani in their lives and cultivate the values of humanity.

MGM Public School

The organised ‘Sukhmani Sahib’ paath to invoke the blessings from the Almighty for students of Class X and XII, who are appearing for their board exams. After the paath, students also recited shabads. Director Gajjan Singh Thind and principal Sunita Vij wished students luck for their exams.

Graduation ceremony for tiny tots

To mark the completion of five years of pre-primary education, Police DAV Public School, Police Lines, Civil Lines, organised a graduation ceremony for the students of Class II. The highlight of the day was a ‘Shiv Tandav’ performance by students. Parents were also invited to the event. Principal Anu Verma welcomed the parents and congratulated the graduates.

Sports day celebrations

Kangaroo Kids organised their annual sports day celebrations with great pomp and show. The celebrations began with releasing of balloons by the principal Jaya Singh. All students participated in a march past, followed by an array of races such as hop ball, racquet and balls, hoopla jump and bean bag run. Parents also participated in tug-of-war and three-legged race. The day concluded with a prize-distribution ceremony, in which the winners were felicitated by the principal.

BCM Arya, Lalton

A sports extravaganza was organised at BCM Arya School, Lalton, in which the students from nursery to Class V participated. Rupinder Singh, deputy director of sports, Sports Department, Punjab, was the chief guest on the occasion. Principal Paramjit Kaur welcomed the guests and parents. The chief guest lauded the efforts of the school for providing students a platform to take part in sports activities and urged the parents to encourage their wards towards taking up sports for their physical and mental well-being.

National Productivity Day observed

Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Kitchlu Nagar, conducted various activities to tap the potential of students in helping to substantially contribute in building the superstructure of their nation. During the seminar, students were made aware about concepts of waste management. Students also observed ‘Zero waste’ day.

‘Sink or float’ activity for tiny tots

Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, organised a ‘Sink or float’ activity for kindergarten students to introduce to them the concept of sinking and floating. Students were given various objects which the categorised under ‘sink’ and ‘float’ categories. Teachers also explained students the concept of why objects floated and some sank. TNS
