It seems ‘rain’ is the leading player, washing away all other teams at the ongoing World Cup tournament.

Both India and New Zealand have remained unbeaten in the ongoing World Cup tournament, but the two have lost against nature. The clear winner for the last couple of weeks seems to be the frustrating rain.

The rain gods haven’t been kind since the match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. And the much-awaited India vs New Zealand match also was affected by rain.

This has sparked off memes on the rain. Starting with: “India won the toss and decided to swim first.”

With this the rain leads the World Cup table with six points. As for India and NZ, both the teams had to settle for one point each.

Back in India, the anxious cricket fans took cover under hilarious memes.

One wrote: “Ind vs NZ world Cup match Prediction Indian Supporters: India, India....NewZealand Supporters: NZ, Nz...And the Winner is === Rain Rain #NZvsIND #AskStar #NZ #ICCWorldCup2019 @cricketworldcup @RCBTweets #dream11 #cwc19 #INDvNZ.”

Another said: “Official dress for today #INDvNZ”.

One wrote: “me looking at my tv screen, watching commentators discuss how it’s raining and the game will likely not happen #INDvNZ”.

Still another said: “Story of the #CWC19 so far.”
