Ludhiana, July 3

The Shashtri Young Welfare Society today alleged police inaction in an incident in which an attempt was made to damage the statue of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

Chairman of the society Ajay Walia while addressing mediapersons said a few days ago, some miscreants had damaged the statue of the former PM in Daresi. Despite submitting a complaint to the police, no FIR was being registered by them.

He said if a case was not registered in the next 24 hours, the society would move court to seek justice.
