To motivate students of Government Senior Secondary School (Boys), Dhanaula, towards hard work and stay away from drugs, Barnala Deputy Commissioner Dharam Pal Gupta and SSP Harjit Singh on Thursday presided over an interactive session in the hall of the school here.

The DC directed officials of the Education Department to prepare a detailed report of requirements of all government schools. To review the standard of education in school, the Deputy Commissioner asked several questions from students.

The DC motivated the students to put in their best for studies and said school education was the foundation of whole life of all persons and if one wanted to achieve success in future, he would have to work hard during his school days.

“To be a successful person in future, one should stay away from drugs and students should start reading good books as these shape their life. All students should also set their future targets in their school days as it becomes easier to achieve goals in academics,” said the DC.

SSP Harjit Singh encouraged the students to follow rules of discipline and stay away from drugs. He said all eligible students should get a learner’s licence before driving any vehicle and start learning driving from gearless vehicles. The students should use bicycles to stay fit.
