Six hurt in Mohali road mishap

Six persons suffered injuries in a road accident at the Phase 3-5 traffic light point here this morning.

The incident took place around 7.30 am when a speeding Ford car apparently lost balance and reached the other side of the road after breaking the iron grills installed on the road divider. The pickup van, which was coming from the other side of the road, hit the car and then a tree along the road.

Both vehicles were badly damaged in the mishap. According to the police, four youths were travelling in the car, while two persons, including the driver, were in the pickup van. All six persons suffered injuries in the accident.

The police were yet to register any case in this connection.
