Three girl students go missing in Panchkula

PANCHKULA: Three girls of Class VII and VIII of a government school in Panchkula allegedly went missing here today.

Three girls of Class VII and VIII of a government school in Panchkula allegedly went missing here today.

While two girls are sisters and reside in Sector 15, their friend is a resident of Sector 16. The trio studies in Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 15,” said a police official.

The police lodged a case of kidnapping on the complaint of the parents.They told the police that the girls were in school uniform when they left for school yesterday morning and did not return home.

“We spoke to the school authorities and they told us that the three girls did not attend the school yesterday,” said Inspector Manish Kumar, Station House Officer of the Sector 14 police station.
The police said the girls were not carrying any mobile phone with them.
On the one hand, the father of the two siblings, Chandrakant, a daily wage earner, went looking for his daughters to the school yesterday evening, while on the other hand, Hanuman, the father of the third girl, also went looking for her to the school. On failing to find them, they reported the matter to the police today.
“ We have enquired from their friends but no one knows of their whereabouts. We are still investigating,” added the official.
Messages have been flashed across the tricity about the girls who have gone missing. Even an alert have been sounded at the bus stands and the railway station.
Girls are without money, cellphone
The police said that the girls were not carrying any cash. Since the victims do not have any mobile phones, the police is finding it difficult to locate them or else the tower location could have helped them in tracing the girls.
