Sydney, April 29

One person was killed and two others were injured on Friday during a shooting outside a shopping centre in Australia's Sydney city.

The incident took place at the parking lot car Bankstown Central Shopping Centre on Rickard road, Australian Broadcasting Corp (ABC) News reported.

Detective Superintendent David Eardley said the shooting was targeted.

"This isn't a random shooting, it was clearly targeted to the man who has died of gunshot wounds," he said.

Police said no arrests have been made and the centre car park had been closed as a precaution.

The dead man, in his 40s, was believed to have links to a crime organisation, News Corp reported.
