Thirty-eight more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the district today, taking the tally to 599.

Five CRPF personnel, aged between 28 and 32, contracted the infection. A 37-year-old woman, a 14-year-old girl, a 60-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man of Tapriyan village were found infected.

A 52-year-old man of Sector 15, a 28-year-old man of Sector 21, a 34-year-old man of Sector 12-A, a 40-year-old man of Sector 4, an 87-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman of MDC, Sector 5, a 70-year-old man of MDC, Sector 4, a 24-year-old woman of Vasudevpura village, a 65-year-old woman of Nawanagar village, a 24-year-old woman of Bitna village, an 18-year-old boy of Marranwala village and a 23-year-old woman and a 13-year-old boy of Rajipur village tested positive for the virus.

Two men, both aged 35, of Pinjore, a 35-year-old man of Tagra village, a 24-year-old man of Toda village, an 18-year-old boy and two men, both aged 30, of Kalka, a 60-year-old woman of Sector 2, an 84-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man of Sector 10, a 26-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman of Raipur Rani, a 33-year-old man of Hangoli, a 33-year-old man of Kheri village, a 56-year-old man of Sector 25 and a 29-year-old woman of Kundi village were found suffering from the contagion.
