‘No harm if foundation stone is re-installed’

The foundation stone plaque of the Larji tunnel near Aut between Mandi and Kullu was destroyed by Congress workers. Everyone has to cross this 3-km tunnel to reach the Rohtang tunnel. There will be no harm if the foundation stone plaque is re-installed at the Rohtang tunnel.

The former Chief Minister said that the plaque of the Larji tunnel near Aut between Mandi and Kullu was destroyed by Congress workers. He said that the tunnel was about three-km long and everyone has to cross it first to reach the Rohtang tunnel.

Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister, had maintained silence on the issue of missing foundation stone plaque of the Rohtang Tunnel while Kuldeep Rathore, HPCC president, had demanded the intervention of the Chief Minister in installing the foundation stone plaque at the tunnel.

Dhumal said that Congress leaders were making a hue and cry as their own deeds had boomeranged on them. He said that the foundation stone plaques were usually kept in safe custody by the department concerned.

He said that there would be no harm if the foundation stone was re-installed at the Rohtang tunnel. He added that the BJP had adopted the highest standards of principals and ethics laid down by its founders.
