Union Cabinet gives nod to set up Central University in Ladakh

University to incur a cost of Rs750 crore

New Delhi, July 22

The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved the establishment of the Central University of Ladakh at a cost of Rs750 crore.

"This will address regional imbalances in higher education level and promote overall growth and development of the UT," said Union Minister Anurag Thakur.
