Doda: The Muslims on Thursday observed a shutdown in the Chenab valley against the recent violence in Jammu after the Pulwama attack.



Doda: The Muslims on Thursday observed a shutdown in the Chenab valley against the recent violence in Jammu after the Pulwama attack. Shops and business establishments of the majority community remained closed in Doda, Kishtwar, Thathri, Bhaderwah and others areas of the Chenab valley in protest while the government offices, banks and transport functioned normally. Anjuman Islamia president, Bhaderwah, Parvez Ahmed Sheikh said, “We observed a shutdown in protest against the recent violence in Jammu. We also want that the administration should provide divisional status to the Chenab valley.” OC
