Words are all she has....

What do you do when you see beauty around you? While most of us would pick up our camera or mobile phone to freeze it, some would grab their pencils to draw it. But there are very few people like Rajani Sekhri Sibal, who would dive deep into their mind and translate those thoughts into a poem or prosaic, which would have the same effect on the readers.

Rajani Sekhri Sibal

What do you do when you see beauty around you? While most of us would pick up our camera or mobile phone to freeze it, some would grab their pencils to draw it. But there are very few people like Rajani Sekhri Sibal, who would dive deep into their mind and translate those thoughts into a poem or prosaic, which would have the same effect on the readers.

Rajni Sekhri Sibal, an IAS officer from the Haryana cadre, comes up with a book of poetry, Fragrant Words. She has authored several articles and books, including Clouds End and Beyond, an anthology of verses and Kamadhenu: Cows of India, a first of its kind coffee-table book on the subject. When did it all start? Rajni quips, “I used to write poems in my childhood. It was a way to express my emotions.”

It is not always easy to share your thoughts, even in written words. She says, “It takes courage to write poetry and even more to share them. My first poetry book happened unplanned. When my first book Kamadhenu: Cows of India got released in 2016, the editor of the book liked few words and during that conversation he came to know that I write poetry. He encouraged me to transform those into a book called Clouds End and Beyond.”

About her next book, , she says, “Well, it will be on disaster management. Everyone can save his life and others’ too, if instead of panicking they know how to handle themselves in times of calamity. My whole life has been about making a difference and saving people by making right decisions. With this book, I intend to help people make few right decisions.” — TNS
