As the year 2022 has begun with a surprise song drop from Sip Sip singer Jasmine Sandlas, we bring you the promising collaborations and singles so that you don’t miss out on your favourite Punjabi star.

Moving on

Last year was all about albums. From Amrinder Gill’s Judaa 3 to Sidhu Moosewala’s Moose Tape to Diljit Dosanjh’s K-pop inspired album Moonchild Era, the list was endless, not to forget Karan Aujla’s Bacthafucup and Gippy Grewal’s Limited Edition. We don’t yet how many albums are coming our way this year, but singles will surely keep the playlists full in 2022.

The homecoming

Jasmine Sandlas has returned to India after two years. She officially launched her new song Mood Sarkar Da on the first day of 2022. She has promised back-to-back hits to her fans. In a video post, she said, “I cried twice on my way, out of happiness, of course. For all those who said that I had only cried in the past few years (referring to her emotional songs), it’s your time to cry.” She has got the word ‘Punjab’ tattooed on her index finger in Gurmukhi language.

Jasmine performed on stage after three years on the New Year Eve.

Collaborations

Collaboration inside or outside the industry is one never-ending trend in any music industry, be it Pollywood, Tollywood or Hollywood. Ammy Virk in an interview earlier had confirmed that he would release a song with Divine within the first two months of 2022. Karan Aujla and rapper Krsna are posting about a song which will come out soon. Aujla is known for surprise drops. While one of the posts reads, “Say your prayers @realkrsna.#2022 #abouttochangethegame”, another used the internet slang YDWIM (You Don’t Know What It Means) teasing fans with a question, “What do you think the title of my next song is ?#youdontevenknowwhatscoming #2022.”

Ammy Virk

On the other hand, Sidhu Moosewala has shared verses from an upcoming song with a caption, “I am a hustler baby, I sell water to well”.

Harrdy Sandhu

Singer Prem Dhillon is releasing a song on January 7 called All Aces for which the music is given by Byg Byrd.

Singer Harrdy Sandhu and lyricist Jaani had ushered in 2021 New Year with Titliaan. Their song Bijlee Bijlee, which was released around the same time in 2021, has become the hot favourite among the common men and celebs alike. Actress Kriti Sanon shared a story on New Year Eve with Bijlee Bijlee playing in the background, “Ending 2021 with the song of the year!” Expect a song from this duo again this year, may be Bijlee Bijlee 2 now!
