The Ludhiana (Rural) police claimed to have arrested a drug peddler when he was going to supply habit- forming drugs to his customers in the New Model Town area today.
As many as 1,200 habit-forming tablets were seized from the accused, Baldev Singh Bawa of Molvia Mohalla, Raikot.
DSP (D), Ludhiana (Rural), Rajan Sharma, said police officials had apprehended the accused on the basis of a tip-off, when he was looking for new customers on Wednesday. — OC
