Biker killed in hit-and-run

Mohali, April 28

A 28-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run case near Bakarpur village here on the intervening night of April 27 and 28. The victim has been identified as Sukhjinder Singh, a resident of Maujpur village, who was hit by a car. The police said the car was on the wrong side.

Sukhjinder was returning to his residence on his Bullet motorcycle after dropping his kin. He sustained head injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The victim was a farmer. He is survived by his wife and a three-year-old daughter.

A case has been registered against the car driver at the Sohana police station. — TNS
