Civic body issues 182 coupons to shopkeepers for stalls

The MC on Saturday issued 182 prepaid coupons to shopkeepers for setting up temporary stalls in the city during the festive season. The corporation earned about Rs 8 lakh from the sale of coupons. These coupons will be issued at the MC office and sub-office at Mani Majra till October 23. For Mani Majra and Mauli Jagran, the coupons are issued at the sub-office.

The coupons are issued on first come, first served basis. “This time, the MC took some security measures and issued coupons after submission of attested photocopies of photo ID, either voter ID card or Aadhaar card,” said an MC official. — TNS
