More than 90 industry experts attended the annual mega event and networking meet of the Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) organised here on Saturday.

On the occasion, the CMA released its various publications, including a book titled “Contemporary Management Practices”, a research report on Corporate Happiness Index Survey and CMA’s monthly eNewsletter.

The theme of the meet, “Digital Technologies Transforming India, initiated a wave of discussions across the tricity on innovative technologies and their creative impact on businesses and Indian economy. Former Haryana chief secretary Dharam Vir, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said, “Technology holds the key to growth – be it business or a nation.”

Dharam Vir further said organisations had been redesigning their products, services, channels and operations to grow their revenue through the convergence of emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, cloud, blockchain, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR).

Earlier, CMA president Deepak Dhingra said, “We live in an age of rapid transformation – one that has witnessed disruptive innovations, rising consumer expectations and reduced shelf life of the technology. This has reshaped how businesses perceived technology and forced them to reimagine even the most successful business models.”
