Man held with 4,550 bottles of liquor

With the arrest of Amarjit Kumar, a resident of Metro Vihar Phase-I, Holambi Kalan, the crime branch has busted a syndicate involved in supply of illicit liquor in various parts of the city and seized 4,550 bottles of illicit liquor  from his possession, said a police official today.

Yesterday secret information was received regarding the supply of a huge quantity of illicit liquor in various parts of Delhi from Haryana transported on a TATA SUMO vehicle, the official added.

A trap was laid near JJ Cluster in Metro Vihar  and a vehicle coming from Haryana border side intercepted and the driver was apprehended with illicit local liquor and the vehicle was also impounded.
