Moga, January 31
Three youths were killed when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by an unidentified vehicle on the outskirts of Dharamkot town in Moga district late on Friday night. They were returning home in Chak Tarewala village after the day’s work. They have been identified as Manpreet Singh, Sonu Singh and Jai Ram. While Manpreet and Sonu died on the spot, Jai Ram died at the district hospital here.
Manpreet’s brother was also following them at some distance on another motorcycle. However, the vehicle could not be identified due to darkness. A case under Sections 304A, 279 and 427 of the IPC has been registered against the driver of the unidentified vehicle at the Dharamkot police station. The bodies were handed over to their families after a post-mortem examination this afternoon.
