ABVP: Dismiss teachers involved in paper leak, copying at Rajouri, RS Pura

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) today demanded dismissal of teachers involved in the recent incidents of perpetrating mass copying and leak of board exam papers in Rajouri and RS Pura.

Activists of the ABVP staged a demonstration and raised slogans against the Education Department, accusing it of making students suffer by announcing re-exams.

“It is only due to the negligent and irresponsible attitude of the Education Department that students are made to suffer. It is shameful that those who had the responsibility to conduct exams in free and fair manner have made the mockery of education system. We demand immediate dismissal of accused persons in paper leak incidents,” Sunaksh Gupta, president of the ABVP, Parade zone, who was leading the ABVP activists, said.

He questioned as to why every time students pay the price of “dishonesty of teachers”, who were responsible for such incidents.

He claimed that at least 36 copying cases had been framed in Reasi, while this number was over 60 in Mendhar.

“The teachers deployed for smooth conduct of exams allowed and encouraged copying in exams but the cases had been framed against students only. Why the teachers guilty of encouraging copying have been spared?” Gupta said.

He recalled that a similar incident of mass copying came into light at Hari Singh Higher Secondary School, Jammu, about two months ago, but no action was taken against the teachers who were involved in the case despite the fact that they had made a complaint to the Principal Secretary, Education Department, Shaleen Kabra.
