JKPCC leaders felicitated, apprised of public issues

JAMMU: Congress leaders GM Saroori and Salman Nizami were today felicitated by the party activists for being nominated as the vice-president and the organising secretary and the publicity secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), respectively.

Jammu, April 3

Congress leaders GM Saroori and Salman Nizami were today felicitated by the party activists for being nominated as the vice-president and the organising secretary and the publicity secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), respectively.

Congress leaders and party workers from Bhalessa, Mugalmaidan, Chatroo, Jammu, Doda, Kishtwar, Bhaderwah and Udhampur met the two party leaders and discussed political and public issues with them.

Inderwal MLA Saroori gave a patient hearing to the party workers and assured them that their demands would be addressed. He also advised the party activists to guard up and strengthen the party.

Speaking on the occasion, several leaders said Saroori was an important pillar of the state Congress who always fought for the cause of the people of J&K in general and Jammu and the Chenab region in particular.

Thanking them, Saroori said he would not let down the aspirations of the people of the state.

He said the Congress workers and cadres would continue to serve the people of the state, especially of erstwhile Doda district.

Speaking on the occasion, Salman Nizami thanked the party high command for appointing him as the organising and publicity secretary. He said with the trust and responsibility placed on him, he would contribute to the party and supporters in the best possible way.
