NCB destroys seized drugs

CHANDIGARH: The NCB today destroyed seized drugs, including 16.874 kg of heroin, 629.900 kg of poppy husk and 470 gm of clonazepam, by way of burning in the incinerator at M/S Rainbow Environments Pvt Ltd at Balyali village in Mohali.

Chandigarh, January 6

The NCB today destroyed seized drugs, including 16.874 kg of heroin, 629.900 kg of poppy husk and 470 gm of clonazepam, by way of burning in the incinerator at M/S Rainbow Environments Pvt Ltd at Balyali village in Mohali.

The committee after proper physical verification destroyed the seized drugs.

Due permission from the Punjab Pollution Control Board had been obtained for burning of drugs at the incinerator. The seized 8.437 kg of opium have been approved for depositing with the Government Opium and Alkaloid Works, Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh.
