With the Election Commission’s announcement of poll schedule for Assembly election in Haryana round the corner, the BSP has decided to put up nominees at all assembly constituencies, and is giving finishing touches to its poll strategy which is being prepared afresh after it severed ties with the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP).

A well-placed BSP source said the party supremo Mayawati is personally keeping an eye on the preparations, including the micro-management of the strategy.

BSP announced secession of its about month-old ties with JJP on Friday.

A list of names of candidates for 50 out of the total of 90 assembly constituencies in the state has been submitted to her by the Haryana unit. The finalisation of candidates for other constituencies will be completed shortly.

The other political parties, too, are in the thick of their poll-related preparations.

“BSP will not have alliance with any political party. It will contest all assembly seats alone,” said a central BSP leader and in-charge of Haryana affairs, Meghraj while talking to The Tribune on Sunday. “Names of candidates for 50 assembly constituencies have been sent to party president Mayawati.”

“Names of all the candidates will be announced at one go, no sooner than Election Commission announced schedule for the poll,” Meghraj added.

On the other hand making a debut in the Haryana Assembly elections, will announce second list of its candidates for 35 constituencies by this week-end.

A top AAP source said a panel of names for each of these constituencies have been almost finalised and submitted to national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

“AAP’s manifesto will be ready shortly. It will provide a road-map to further raise the meritocracy of youth of Haryana with a vision to enhance their skill befitting a ‘World Citizen’ ,” said AAP MP and in-charge of state’s affair Sushil Gupta.
