Gangster Kaushal detained in Dubai

Having chased him for around three years, the Haryana Police in collaboration with the Delhi Police, Interpol and the Dubai Police have finally nailed wanted gangster Kaushal in a covert operation. While authorities maintained silence over Kaushal’s detention by the Dubai Police apparently fearing complications in his deportation, sources claimed that he was detained two days ago.

Kaushal had been on the run since December 2016. He managed to reach Dubai in December 2017 by procuring a work visa through a fake passport. The Haryana Police and other agencies had been trailing him since then.

Kaushal was involved in over 200 cases of extortion, murder, murder attempt and other heinous crimes in the National Capital Region. He was living in Dubai masquerading as Naresh Kumar.

Kaushal (38), son of a property dealer in Naharpur Rupa village, used to provide and fix submersible pumps before joining the crime world. His tryst with crime started in 2004 with a land dispute with gangster Sudesh, alias Chhelu. The fight between Kaushal and Chhelu resulted in nine murders. On December 12, 2006, Kaushal’s men shot dead Chhelu at Rajiv Chowk in police custody.
