Two killed in mishaps

Panipat, June 18

Two persons were killed and two others injured in road mishaps in the district.

Mohammad Shehjad, a native of Purnia district in Bihar, was killed when a vehicle hit him near the Dahar toll plaza on Monday morning while his two associates Mohammad Ahsan and Mohammad Ramtulla, also residents of the same village, were injured. The injured were taken to the general hospital where doctors referred them to the PGIMS, Rohtak, he added.

In another incident, Ved Prakash (60), a farmer of Ganjbar village, was on the way to his fields when a vehicle hit him on Sunday, killing him on the spot.

After postmortem, the bodies were handed over to the bereaved family members. Cases have been registered against unknown persons.
