The state government has brought super-specialty private hospitals under various health insurance for providing cashless treatment under critical care of Rs 1.75 lakh per annum and for cancer treatment. The maximum limit is Rs 2.25 lakh on the family floater basis.

A spokesperson of the Health Department said the HP Swasthya Bima Yojna would be the nodal agency for the scheme. Private hospitals should have the facilities for treatment of cardiac and cardiothoracic surgeries, genito urinary surgery, neurosurgery, radiation oncology, trauma, transplant surgeries, spinal surgeries, surgical gastroenterology, haemophilia and cancer.

He said the hospitals would enter into agreement with the HP Swasthya Bima Yojna Society and hospitals had to provide the critical care facility on pre-defined package rates only.
