Governor briefed on road projects

SRINAGAR: Brig Vishal Aggarwal, chief engineer, Border Roads Oganisation (BRO), called on Governor NN Vohra here on Saturday and briefed him on the status of different road projects being executed by the BRO.

Brig Vishal Aggarwal, chief engineer, Border Roads Oganisation (BRO), called on Governor NN Vohra here on Saturday and briefed him on the status of different road projects being executed by the BRO.

The Governor stressed the timely repair and completion of all maintenance works on the Kangan-Gund-Sonamarg-Neelgrath axis. Keeping in view that the forthcoming Amarnath yatra commences on June 28, the Governor told Brig Aggarwal to have the road repaired by June 20.

While lauding the good work being done by the BRO in developing and maintaining the road network in the difficult and hilly terrain of the state, the Governor emphasised the crucial importance of various construction works being completed within the envisaged time schedules and also maintained satisfactorily.
