Bharatiya Janata Party state president Ravinder Raina on Thursday claimed that he has received a death threat from Pakistan.

Claiming that he had been receiving such threats for past few months, Raina said, “I received a threat from Karachi on Thursday again. I have informed the authorities concerned as well as Governor NN Vohra.”

Notably, the BJP broke the alliance with the PDP in the state two days ago.

Raina posted on Twitter, “I have informed the authorities concerned and the Governor about the threats I have been receiving for the past few months. Even today (Thursday) I received a threat call from Karachi.”

“In the calls made through the Internet, the caller used abusive language,” he said.

When asked about the threat calls to Raina, Director General of Police SP Vaid said he had no information about it.

Before taking up as the state BJP president, Raina has remained in the limelight because of his firebrand speeches against Pakistan and its terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

In his press conference on Wednesday, after the BJP pulled out of the coalition government, he had blamed Pakistan for deteriorating law and order situation in Kashmir.
