Jammu, November 16

A book, “Federal Structure of the Textual Constitution of India Fons Juris of Constitution Patriotism Cases and Materials”, authored by Prof KL Bhatia, was released during a function here today.

Justice (retd) JR Kotwal was the chief guest, while Prof YR Malhotra, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, presided over the programme. The book was released in the presence of senior members of the Bar, members of civil society and other delegates.

The book is an in-depth mosaic of Indian federal structure, which, according to the author, is “embedded in achieving the ends of fraternity by promoting the means of dignity of the individual and unity and integrity of the Indian nation”.

Prof Bhatia, a well-known personality in the field of law, has served as a professor of law in various universities of India. He presented a detailed description about his book and said he had tried to give back to the society what he had learned from the Indian federal system.

In his address, Justice Kotwal focused on the relevance of the book written by Prof Bhatia in the contemporary society and its relevance in the present scenario.

He congratulated Prof Bhatia for his academic accomplishments and appreciated his efforts for enhancing knowledge of society through his writings time and again.

Prof Malhotra applauded the contribution of Prof Bhatia in the field of law. Dr Mrinalini Atre and Dr Seema Sharma, faculty, The Law School, University of Jammu, conducted the programme, while Dr Sanjay Gupta presented the formal welcome address.

The event concluded with vote of thanks by Dr Seema Sharma.
