Congress, BJP celebrate win

The Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists continued with the celebrations on the second day of announcement of the 2019 General Election results as well.

The Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists continued with the celebrations on the second day of announcement of the 2019 General Election results as well. However, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leaders were conspicuous by absence.

The Congress led by Amargarh legislator Surjit Singh Dhiman, Payal MLA Lakhvir Singh Lakha and former MLA Gurcharan Singh Boparai paid gratitude to residents and party’s workers for wholeheartedly supporting and electing Dr Boparai as an MP from the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency.

Today Dr Boparai paid obeisance to the Almighty at Gurdwara Tahliana Sahib. At Khanna, Dr Boparai thanked the Congress workers for their support. He assured that he would try his best to develop the area and work closely with the MLAs.

Leaders associated with the BJP continued celebrating the party’s massive performance on pan India level under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.

Saffron outfit’s activists organised parties for their supporters today. At Subhash Nagar in Ahmedgarh, Bhoj Raj Sharma, councillor, BJP, and his supporters celebrated return of the Modi in the Centre, while his elder brother Deepak Sharma, a Congress councillor, celebrated victory of Dr Boparai and Ravneet Singh Bittu.

Though the SAD-BJP candidate from the Fatehgarh Sahib constituency Darbara Singh Guru had lost election with a huge margin, the BJP activits celebrated party’s victory in the Centre.
