Health team destroys khoya

Ludhiana, October 15

A Health Department team today intercepted a vehicle carrying 330 kgs of substandard khoya from Bikaner, Rajasthan. The khoya was being transported here through a Rathore bus. It was to be supplied to Hari Om Bikaner Sweets, Dharapur bypass, Tanda, Hoshiapur.

They have a godown in Avatar Nagar street number 11 near Nakodar Chowk in Jalandhar. Sampling was going on till the filing of the report. Much of the khoya was destroyed.

DHO Dr Andesh Kaur Kang said earlier, they had seized desi ghee. — TNS
