Reshuffle in Police Department

LUDHIANA: In a major reshuffle in Ludhiana Police, the Commissioner of Police transferred 16 SHO-rank officials today.

In a major reshuffle in Ludhiana Police, the Commissioner of Police transferred 16 SHO-rank officials today. The transfers were made on the administrative grounds and the officials were asked to join their new postings with immediate effect.

According to the transfer list, the SHO of Division Number 2, Inspector Jasbinder Singh, has been posted as in charge of traffic wing. A few days ago, a few Congress leaders had accused him for accepting an air-conditioner as bribe.

Inspector Kanwaljit Singh has been posted as SHO of police station number 2 and Inspector Harpal Singh, SHO of Jodhewal, has been posted as in charge of CIA-2.

Inspector Rajesh Kumar, in charge of CIA-2, has been posted as in charge of PO wing, Inspector Vijay Kumar has been made SHO of Jodhewal and Inspector Varinderpal Singh, SHO of Division Number 3, has been posted as RI, Police Lines.

Manjit Singh, who was RI, Police lines, has been posted as GD, Police Lines.

Sub-inspector Sanjeev Kapoor has been posted as SHO of Division Number 3, and Davinder Sharma, SHO of Jamalpur, has been posted as in charge of litigation branch.

Sub-inspector Avtar Singh has been posted as SHO of Jamalpur and SI Bikramjit Singh as SHO of Division Number 7. Sub-inspector Satwant Singh, who was posted at Division Number 7, has been shifted to Police Lines and SI Raghbir Singh, SHO of Division Number 8, has been posted as Line Officer.

Sub-inspector Pawan Kumar has been posted as SHO of Division Number 8, Ravinder Kumar as SHO of Jodhewal and Satnam Singh, who was SHO of Ladowal,  has been shifted to CIA-2.
