Ludhiana: HVM Convent Senior Secondary School, New Subhash Nagar, organised a pool party for the kindergarten section to beat the scorching heat. Children played many games in the pool party with balloons and balls.

Darshan Academy

The school arranged a pool party for tiny tots. Students came in colourful costumes. The activity was held in the outdoor area of the school. The kids enjoyed the party and had a wonderful experience. They splashed water on one another.

Inter-house basketball contest

Ryan International School, Dugri, organised an inter-house basketball match for the girls of classes VI-IX to develop basketball skills among the students. Einstein House emerged as the winner. The second position was bagged by Aryabhatta House, followed by Raman House and Newton House on third and fourth positions respectively.

Students learn traffic rules

Doraha Public School organised an awareness trip to the Traffic Park-cum-Training Centre wherein students were imparted first-hand information regarding various traffic rules and regulations by traffic experts. The students were told about different traffic signs, safety laws, road lines and guidelines to be followed in case of road mishaps and first aid. They were also told about the importance of helmets, reflection jackets and cycling precautions. Students experienced riding conditions in real time while riding simulator bikes

Personal hygiene taught

To inculcate the values of personal hygiene, an activity based on dental care was organised at new BCM Kindergarten, Basant Avenue. The students brought their own tooth brushes. Through this activity, the students were guided to brush their teeth twice a day. Teachers also told them about different techniques of brushing. The children were made aware of the side effects of eating candies and chocolates. They were also told to avoid chocolates and candies and to drink more milk.

Mother’s Day celebrated

Students of Sacred Heart School celebrated Mother’s Day on the campus. To show their love and respect for their mothers, the students made beautiful cards. The school organised a function at activity hall which was graced by chief guest Sheetal Sharma, convener - Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. The students gave speeches and performed dances. The attraction of the event was various competitions such as salad making and sandwich making for mothers and a French play by the students.

Hawan performed

The 101st birth anniversary of Satyanand Munjal was celebrated at BCM School. Hawan was organised to pay tribute and hymns were sung. The programme was concluded with 'shanti paath'. — TNS
