LUDHIANA: Two minor girls were kidnapped and then raped by two men.

Ludhiana, May 21

Two minor girls were kidnapped and then raped by two men. The police today rescued the girls and also nabbed the accused.

The accused threatened the girls that they would kill them if they disclosed the incident to anyone. The accused have been identified as Prabhjot Singh and Deepak, both residents of Guru Teg Bahadar Nagar. The victim girls reside in Parkash Nagar.

The accused were today produced before the court which sent them to jail.

On May 12, relatives of the girls lodged a complaint with the SBS Nagar police station. They alleged that the girls had gone to market but did not return. They suspected that the girls had been kidnapped by unknown persons by luring them with marriage.

According to the police, the girls were served some eatables laced with sedatives by the suspects. After that, they took the girls to an isolated place and raped them. Two days after they went missing, the girls escaped from their custody and returned home. They narrated the incident to their respective families.

After verifying the claims of the girls, the police today registered a rape case against the accused. Station House Officer of the SBS Nagar Mohan Lal said a rape was registered against the boys.
