Weightlifting tourney from December 1

LUDHIANA: The 36th edition of the Ludhiana District Weightlifting Tournament for men and women would be held from December 1 to 2 at Ludhiana Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Club, Rakh Bagh.

The 36th edition of the Ludhiana District Weightlifting Tournament for men and women would be held from December 1 to 2 at Ludhiana Bodybuilding and Weightlifting Club, Rakh Bagh.

Parvesh Chander Sharma, former champion, Commonwealth Games-1990 (2 gold medals) and honorary general secretary, Ludhiana District Weightlifting Association, said the competition in the womens’ section would be held on Saturday and men would compete on Sunday.

Narinder Sharma, councillor, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, would inaugurate the event and Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu would be the chief guest during the prize distribution function.
