HYDERABAD: A junior civil judge of a court in Suryapet district was arrested here on Tuesday on charge of raping a 29-year-old advocate, police said.

Hyderabad, August 14 

A junior civil judge of a court in Suryapet district was arrested here on Tuesday on charge of raping a 29-year-old advocate, police said.

In her complaint, the woman alleged that Satyanarayana Rao (28) had sexually exploited her after promising to marry her and got engaged to another woman, they said.

Based on the complaint, a case of rape under relevant IPC sections and under provisions of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act was registered against him on August 3, they added. - PTI
