Abohar: The Sriganganagar police on Friday claimed to have seized 57,750 habit forming sedative tablets by intercepting a car near the inter-state bus terminal.



Abohar: The Sriganganagar police on Friday claimed to have seized 57,750 habit forming sedative tablets by intercepting a car near the inter-state bus terminal.

Mridul Kushwaha, an IPS probationer, following a tip-off directed the police to lay a special naka and inspect vehicles.

The accused have been identified as Paramjit Singh and Riyayat Ali of Gadarkhera, Rajveer Singh of Karadwala, and Balwant Singh of Dhani Nurpur, and were arrested under the NDPS Act.

The above stated villages are located on Abohar-Sadulshehar road. Moreover, Sadulshehar has been known as drug trafficking hub. — TNS
