Minimum temperatures hover close to normal in Punjab, Haryana

CHANDIGARH: The minimum temperatures hovered close to normal level at most places in Punjab and Haryana on Friday.

The minimum temperatures hovered close to normal level at most places in Punjab and Haryana on Friday.

Union Territory Chandigarh, joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded a low of 12.1 degrees Celsius, a Meteorological Department official said here.

In Punjab, Amritsar’s minimum settled at 10.3 degrees Celsius, while Ludhiana and Patiala recorded their respective minimums at 11.8 and 13.2 degrees Celsius.

Pathankot, Gurdaspur and Bathinda recorded their lows at 13.2 degrees Celsius, 10.5 degrees Celsius and 10.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

In Haryana, the minimum temperatures in Ambala, Hisar and Bhiwani settled at 12 degrees Celsius, 12.9 degrees Celsius and 15.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Karnal recorded a low of 12 degrees Celsius, while respective minimums at Rohtak and Narnaul settled at 15.7 degrees Celsius and 14.8 degrees Celsius.

The MeT official said that cold weather conditions have abated at most places in the two states. — PTI
