The district administration today imposed a ban on opening of meat shops and dumping its waste within an area of 1,000 meters from the Air Force Station.

District Magistrate Girish Dayalan issued the orders under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Act No. 2 of 1974). The orders will remain in force till September 26.
