Ambala, November 20

Congress activists, led by Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee treasurer Rohit Jain, took out a candlelight march in Ambala City to pay homage to farmers who have lost their lives during the farm agitation, here this evening.

Rohit Jain said: “Around 700 farmers have sacrificed their lives during the struggle against the farm laws. Despite different tactics adopted by the government, the farmers kept struggling peacefully. We have taken out a candlelight march to pay homage to the farmers for their sacrifice. We demand compensation and government jobs for the kin of farmers who have sacrificed their lives.”

Earlier in the day, the Congressmen took out a march as part of the ‘Jan Jagran Abhiyan’ of the party to mark resentment against unemployment and inflation.
