A 97-year-old man from Aerocity died of Covid-19.



Mohali, August 14

A person died and 78 others tested Covid-19 positive in Mohali district today. A total of 25 people were discharged from the hospitals.

A 97-year-old man from Aerocity died of Covid-19. He suffered from comorbidities, including diabetes and stroke.

Maximum number of cases surfaced from Kharar where 11 people tested positive. In Sohana six people tested positive. In Zirakpur, four persons were found positive. Two cases each were reported from Dhakoli and Peer Muchalla.

Three positive cases surfaced in Dera Bassi and five in Baltana. Three persons were found infected in Sector 104.

Similarly, three cases surfaced in Sector 126 and four persons tested positive in Nayagaon.

Other cases were reported from Sectors 70, 71, 79, 65, 66, 114,125, Phase 3A, Phase 3B1, Phase 4, Balongi, Bhago Majra and Mataur, among others.

There are a total of 1,683 cases with 768 active cases. The death count has reached 31. —TNS
