Jhajjar, February 10

Handing over the command of Lok Sabha election to Congress booth workers, party Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda today said all sorts of conspiracies will be hatched against him during the ensuing polls, and it will be the booth workers’ biggest responsibility to fail them.

JJP BETRAYED VOTERS IN 2019

People wanted change in 2019 itself, but the JJP betrayed voters. Deepender Hooda, Congress MP

“Your (booth workers) hard work will not go in vain, it will bear fruit. People’ sentiments are connected with the Congress as the BJP-JJP coalition government did nothing except deceiving them on various pretexts. We will win the election with a record number of votes,” said the MP.

Deepender was addressing the party’ booth workers meeting organised by Congerss MLA Geeta Bhukkal here today.

The MP said the Congress’ victory would be for the people of the area and the state would again scale new heights of development. He also invited workers to a state level rally to be organized in Jhajjar on February 25.

On this occasion, ‘Ghar Ghar Congress, Har Ghar Congress’ campaign was formally launched in Jhajjar constituency. Under this campaign, Congress workers will visit every village and every house, and talk about achievements of the Congress and the failures of the present coalition government.

Deepender asked the booth committees to start preparations for the ensuing election on a war footing from today, and manage their booths till the voting takes place. “Change is certain in Haryana this time. There is only one voice coming from every corner of Haryana, that BJP-JJP is going out, and Congress government is coming in,” he said.

The MP said in the past one year, 35 former MLAs and former ministers had joined the Congress. “People wanted change in 2019 itself, but the JJP betrayed the voters,” he said.

Bhukkal got emotional while recalling the results of 2019 Lok Sabha polls. “We all cried a lot and felt immense pain when you (Deepender) lost the elections as a leader who always raises the people’s voice faced defeat. We assure you that we will toil hard at every booth to ensure your victory,” she said.

Congress MLAs Dr Raghubir Kadyan and Kuldeep Vats were among others who spoke on the occasion.
