Chandigarh, June 29
Chief Ministe Manohar Lal Khattar presided over a review meeting of the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) Department here today.
During the meeting, he directed all ULBs to complete the marking work of parking areas in urban areas by September. Besides, he directed the officials concerned to prepare an action plan for the construction of multi-level parking in various cities.
ULBs functioning to become online
The functioning of all ULBs should become completely online. No work should be done manually or through files. Just like in villages, drone mapping will be done in cities as well. ML Khattar, CM
The Chief Minister also directed the District Municipal Commissioners to prepare the budget of the ULBs and link it with the data of the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) so that appropriate budget could be allocated according to the existing population of the cities.
The Chief Minister said everyone needed to pay more attention towards ensuring cleanliness in their respective cities, adding that a portal related to cleanliness campaign should also be developed.
“The functioning of all ULBs should become completely online. No work should be done manually or through files. Just like in villages, drone mapping will be done in cities as well. All colonies will be surveyed. All ULBs should take special care that no illegal colony should develop in their areas and illegal properties should be identified,” the Chief Minister added.
